Shanghai, China - In the annual Bay-Helix award ceremony, Dr. Joan (Huaqiong) Shen, Founder and CEO of NeuShen Therapeutics, accepted the award “Woman Leader of the Year”. Dr. Shen is being recognized for her leadership in drug and people development. She has a stellar track record of successfully leading pharmaceutical innovation and mentoring the young generation of drug hunters. As her new endeavors, she founded NeuShen therapeutics to discover new remedies for patients suffering from neurological and psychiatric disorders.

The R&D organization teamed up by scientists and physicians from Shanghai and Boston is now working on the novel gene therapies and chemical drugs, as well as establishing broad collaborations in neuroscience arena to catalyze the next wave of innovation in CNS.
